About Me

Hi, Thank you for visiting my site.

Welcome to my world of travel and storytelling! I’m Ishita, a hodophile at heart with a passion for exploring new places and sharing those experiences through photography and writing.

Originally from the City of Joy, Kolkata, West Bengal (India), I currently reside in the heart and capital of India, New Delhi. I am a Gemini, and that makes me passionate about a lot of things. But, out of all, travelling fills my lungs with oxygen and gives purpose to my life. I inherited this travelling bug from my father, who loves to go on crazy trips with me and my sister since our childhood.

Unlike my father, who is madly in love with the snow-clad mountains, I love visiting all places, from popular tourist hotspots, offbeat places, beaches, and all nooks of India. I mostly focus my travels in and around India because I feel my country has everything that can satisfy the soul of any person with a strong wanderlust.

I am not (yet) a professional full-time travel blogger / writer, but that is my ultimate dream. Unlike most travel bloggers, I have not quit my 9-to-5 job. Professionally, I am a product director. I help to build good technical solutions and products to achieve a company’s business vision and mission. My regular job also includes a lot of creative aspects because me and my team have to envision how a product will look, who will use it, how to market it, and many more…. Well, so far, I am happy because my regular salary allows me to have the audacity to keep googling and building itineraries about places I want to visit… However, sitting behind a desk and a laptop, my soul longs for freedom to pursue my true ikigai —to travel, discover, and write about the beauty of the world.

I love to travel with my family and sometimes solo. I believe every place has its own energy and aura. It’s very interesting to be one with the energy go with the flow. I like to travel at my own pace. Sometimes, I visit a place for taking good photos like a tourist, and sometimes, I visit a place to learn about it. It depends….

I am not a backpacker or nomad- traveler. I like to stay in good hotels that are not heavy on the pocket and do not compromise my safety during the stay.

I have a laundry list of places I want to travel across the globe. But, first, I wish to visit all Indian states in this lifetime.

Through my blogs, I aim to share my experience about the places I visit, people I meet, hotels where I stay, restaurants where I eat, etc. I truly wish my website inspires others to break free from the monotony of the daily routines and responsibilities and makes others pack their suitcases for a good vacation..

Let’s explore the world together, one adventure at a time!
